Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 45 years
- Not pregnant or expecting to become pregnant (females only)
- Not postmenopausal (females only)
- No diagnosis of cardiometabolic conditions such as heart disease or type 2 diabetes
- No diagnosis of chronic inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease
- Does not regularly take anti-inflammatory drugs more than twice a week or can temporarily stop using them
- Does not use glucose-lowering drugs such as metformin
- Does not use lipid-lowering drugs such as statins
- Does not use tobacco products or illicit drugs
- Does not have a pacemaker
You will not qualify if you...
- Not between 18 and 45 years old

- Postmenopausal (females only)
- Diagnosed with cardiometabolic conditions such as heart disease or type 2 diabetes

- Uses glucose-lowering drugs such as metformin
