Clinical Study of Moxibustion in the Treatment of Hemorrhagic Cystitis After Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Researchers are evaluating the use of moxibustion, a traditional therapy involving the application of heat to specific body points, for patients who develop hemorrhagic cystitis after undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This prospective, multicenter, single-arm clinical study plans to enroll 60 patients to assess the effects of moxibustion combined with standard symptomatic supportive treatment. The study aims to see how this approach may impact symptoms related to hemorrhagic cystitis and pain levels. Participants receive daily moxibustion treatment covering the Shenque, Zhongguo, Guanyuan, and Qihai points for 30 minutes each day over 14 days, alongside symptomatic supportive care. Throughout this two-week period, urine samples are collected daily to monitor changes and evaluate the severity of hemorrhagic cystitis. The primary goal is to measure symptom changes using the Core Lower Urinary Tract Symptom Score over these 14 days. During the study, patients are closely monitored with daily urine tests and pain assessments to track treatment effects. Researchers evaluate symptom severity and pain scores to determine how participants respond to the combined moxibustion and supportive therapy. The total participation time for each patient is 14 days, focusing on symptom improvement and safety during this treatment period.
