Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Female aged 18 years or older
  • Able to provide written informed consent
  • Recently diagnosed with breast cancer
  • Estimated tumor size of 2.0 cm or less based on imaging
  • Breast biopsy performed at least 10 days before the MRg-NIRS exam
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Any contraindication to MRI including electronic implants (e.g., pacemaker), metal implants (e.g., aneurysm clip), claustrophobia, or renal failure with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/1.73 m2 BSA
  • Pregnant women
  • Presence of breast implants
  • Prisoners
  • Poor healing from breast biopsy
