Evaluation of a Multi-modal Remote Video and Ultra-sensitive Wave System for Monitoring Agitation in Critically Ill Patients An Open-label, Multi-center Observational Study

Researchers are investigating the effectiveness of a multi-modal evaluation monitoring system for agitation in critically ill patients. This observational study aims to compare the effectiveness of this remote video-ultra-sensitive detection wave system with manual monitoring methods over a period of three years. The study focuses on patients in intensive care units ICU who are at risk of agitation. Participants in the study will be monitored using both manual methods and the multi-modal monitoring system that includes remote video and radar wave technology. The study groups include a control group monitored manually and a multiple-model monitoring group using the video-radar system. This open-label, multi-center study observes the patients as part of their regular medical care. During the study, researchers will assess the accuracy of the monitoring systems in alerting to agitation episodes, measuring the correct alert rate every 10 to 15 seconds during the patients ICU stay. Participants will be observed and evaluated over the course of their ICU stay, with data collected for up to three years to understand the systems effectiveness. Safety and other patient information will be monitored throughout this period.
