This randomized controlled trial (RCT) is the first to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a multi-target TMS protocol targeting the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (L-DLPFC), left inferior parietal lobule (L-IPL), and right orbitofrontal cortex (R-OFC) for negative symptoms of schizophrenia.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Outpatients or inpatients at the Department of Psychiatry, Shanghai Mental Health Center
- Meet DSM-5 criteria for first-episode schizophrenia with disease duration less than 5 years
- Male or female aged 16-45 years
- Education duration of 9 years or more
- Stable medication regimen for at least 6 weeks before baseline and throughout the study
- Psychiatric symptoms generally stable within 1 month before baseline
- Participant and guardian able to understand and sign informed consent
- PANSS Negative Symptom subscale score greater than 15 with at least one item score 3 or higher
You will not qualify if you...
- Current or lifetime psychiatric disorders other than schizophrenia as determined by SCID-5
- Severe or unstable physical illnesses including neurological disorders, heart conditions, hypertension, hyperglycemia, cancer, or immunocompromised state
- Alcohol abuse within 30 days or alcohol/drug dependence within 6 months before study
- Participation in any clinical trial within 30 days before baseline
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Intellectual disability with IQ below 70
