Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Diagnosis of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage confirmed by blood in basal cisterns or major fissures on non-contrast head CT, or xanthochromia in cerebrospinal fluid confirmed by spectrophotometric analysis
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage due to aneurysm, intracranial vascular malformation (e.g., AVM, dural AVF), perimesencephalic pattern, angiogram-negative non-perimesencephalic pattern, or intracranial artery dissection
You will not qualify if you...
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by trauma, tumor, infection (except mycotic aneurysms), or medical procedures
- Isolated convexity subarachnoid hemorrhage
