Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Aged 12-80 years
- Diagnosis of major depressive disorder confirmed by two psychiatrists per DSM-5
- Stable medication regimen before enrollment
- Indicated for neuromodulation treatment OR presence of visual field defects
- Healthy controls aged 12-80 years with no history of neuropsychiatric disorders
- Healthy controls with no significant systemic diseases
- Healthy controls with normal or corrected vision
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of major systemic diseases
- Neuromodulation treatment received within the past 3 months
- Pregnancy or potential pregnancy
- Presence of metal implants or claustrophobia
- Ocular diseases or history of eye surgery (for healthy controls)
