Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Aged 12-80 years
  • Diagnosis of major depressive disorder confirmed by two psychiatrists per DSM-5
  • Stable medication regimen before enrollment
  • Indicated for neuromodulation treatment OR presence of visual field defects
  • Healthy controls aged 12-80 years with no history of neuropsychiatric disorders
  • Healthy controls with no significant systemic diseases
  • Healthy controls with normal or corrected vision
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Presence of major systemic diseases
  • Neuromodulation treatment received within the past 3 months
  • Pregnancy or potential pregnancy
  • Presence of metal implants or claustrophobia
  • Ocular diseases or history of eye surgery (for healthy controls)
