Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 2 months and 17 years
- Currently intubated and receiving mechanical ventilation
- Expected to stay in the pediatric intensive care unit for more than 72 hours
You will not qualify if you...
- Primary caregiver does not read, write, and speak English
- Child is not expected to survive the pediatric intensive care unit stay
- Child has deafness in both ears, history of musicogenic epilepsy, or is receiving neuromuscular blockade infusion
- Child has a diagnosis of COVID-19
- Child was admitted for a new traumatic brain injury
