Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Willing and able to give informed consent for participation in the study
- Healthy volunteers willing to give informed consent for participation in the study
- Patients diagnosed with a previous myocardial infarction
You will not qualify if you...
- Unwillingness to participate
- Claustrophobia
- Contraindication to MRI scanning such as implantable cardiac devices
- Participants who have had a previous myocardial infarction unknown to them discovered during scanning, or any other unknown cardiology condition, will not be included as healthy controls
- Pregnancy
- Body size that prevents comfortable positioning in MRI scanners (greater than 50 cm in diameter)
- Abnormal kidney function that prevents use of contrast agent
