Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adults 18 years or older
- Admitted to Lynn Rehabilitation Center with acute ischemic stroke diagnosis within past 1 month
- Able to provide informed, written consent or have proxy consent
- Able to read and understand verbal instructions in English or Spanish
You will not qualify if you...
- Older than 80 years
- Pregnant women
- Prisoners
- Prior history of dysphagia
- Diagnoses including acute intracranial hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, or traumatic brain injury
