Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.99 kg/m2
- Asthma diagnosis confirmed by a medical specialist
- Partly controlled or uncontrolled asthma with an Asthma Control Test score of 22 or less
- Owns a device compatible with the ZEPHYRx platform
- Stable asthma medication use with no changes in the past 2 months
You will not qualify if you...
- Diabetes or use of diabetes medications that may lower blood glucose levels
- Fasting blood glucose of 126 mg/dl or higher or triglycerides 400 mg/dl or higher
- Current smoking or a smoking history greater than 10 pack-years
- Significant respiratory or cardiac diseases or important comorbidities such as COPD, renal failure, liver disease
- Uncontrolled hypertension with systolic blood pressure 160 mm/Hg or higher, or diastolic blood pressure 100 mm/Hg or higher
- Pregnant or nursing women
- Food preferences or allergies that do not align with the study diets
- Noncompliance with lead-in period requirements
