Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with end-stage liver disease by transient elastography or imaging with clinical signs
- Referred for liver transplantation and likely to be listed or already listed, as assessed by primary hepatologist
- No prior formal dietary advice received
You will not qualify if you...
- Younger than 18 years old
- Expected to wait less than 3 months for liver transplantation
- Life expectancy less than 3 months
- Chronic kidney disease requiring protein restriction
- Medical reasons preventing exercise, such as recent variceal bleeding, severe hepatic encephalopathy, refractory ascites
- Unstable or severe psychiatric disorder
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Unable to provide written informed consent
