OK-TRANSPLANT 2 is a vanguard study for a large randomized, pragmatic, open-label trial. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adults aged 18 years or older
- Body mass index (BMI) greater than 35 kg/m²
- Greater than 10% risk of end-stage kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy over 2 years or currently receiving dialysis
You will not qualify if you...
- Known contraindication to a GLP-1 receptor agonist
- Type 1 diabetes
- No access to semaglutide through drug coverage
- Absolute contraindication to kidney transplant
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- Currently participating or planning to participate in a GLP-1RA or GLP-1RA/GIP clinical study
