Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia with CD20 expression on at least 20% of blasts
- Signed written informed consent
- Adequate contraception for women with child-bearing potential
You will not qualify if you...
- Lymphoblastic lymphoma with bone marrow blasts less than 20%
- History of chronic myeloid leukemia or other myeloproliferative diseases
- Major surgery within 4 weeks before enrollment
- Impaired heart function including ejection fraction under 40%, QTc interval over 450 ms, recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina, heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension or arrhythmias
- Active infection such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV
- Other severe or uncontrolled medical conditions including other primary cancers needing treatment, severe liver, pancreatic, renal disease, or life-threatening illnesses
- Serum creatinine more than twice the normal limit, total bilirubin over 2.5 times normal unless related to leukemia, or liver enzymes over 5 times normal unless related to leukemia
- Intolerance to monoclonal antibody treatment
- Positive pregnancy test for women of childbearing age
- Inability to give written informed consent
- Inability to comply with regular monitoring
