A trend to increased frequency of stroke in the young age is observed during the last decade; third of patients is working-age individuals, out of whom only 15-20% returns to labor, and others remain disabled persons requiring constant medical and social support

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Signed informed consent form
  • Age 18 years and older
  • Diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke within 36 hours before enrollment
  • Motor neurological deficit measurable with NIHSS (score 61 for item 5 and/or 6 at therapy start)
  • Receiving conservative stroke treatment without reperfusion therapy
  • Planned treatment with Cytoflavin 20-40 ml/day for at least 10 days or another neuroprotector or no neuroprotector
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • NIHSS 1a (coma) score of 3 at enrollment
  • Severe disability before stroke (mRS > 2) requiring help with daily living
  • History of Parkinson's disease, dementia, multiple sclerosis, or other major neurological diseases
  • Severe other illnesses with expected life expectancy less than 6 months
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Other serious medical or psychiatric conditions that prevent study participation or informed consent
