This is an observational study in individuals with isolated (or primary) dystonia that involves more than one body region. The purpose of the study is to collect detailed information to help your physician and other researchers understand how dystonia impacts your and other patients' lives and how the disease changes over time. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Willingness to sign informed consent and comply with study assessments
- Male or female aged between 12 and 65 years inclusive
- Clinical diagnosis of isolated (primary) dystonia for at least one year prior to Visit 1
- Meets study definition of segmental, multifocal, or generalized dystonia at Visit 1
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of focal dystonia at Visit 1
- Diagnosis of dopa-responsive dystonia, secondary dystonia, or psychogenic/functional dystonia
- Significant ongoing disease, disorder, laboratory abnormalities, or substance abuse that may jeopardize safety or study objectives
- History of psychiatric or cognitive impairment that may interfere with study conduct
- Prior myotomy or denervation surgery in affected muscles
- Marked limitation on passive range of motion suggesting contractures or structural abnormalities
- Prior deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery, even if implant is deactivated
