What this Trial Is About
This research aims to understand the work status of adult patients admitted for urological diseases at the University Hospital in Kraków, Poland. It focuses on patients undergoing major uro-oncological surgeries such as radical cystectomy, prostatectomy, or nephrectomy, and those having procedures for urinary tract stones. The study seeks to learn how these treatments affect patients' ability to return to work and their overall well-being, to help improve support and rehabilitation strategies. Participants include all adults admitted over a 6-month period, with a subset of employed patients who undergo major urological surgeries or stone procedures. These patients will complete a quality-of-life questionnaire and be followed up by phone at 3 and 6 months after their treatment. Data on employment status, clinical details, and quality of life will be collected at hospital admission and during follow-up. During the study, all admitted patients will be surveyed about their job situation at baseline. Employed patients undergoing major surgeries or procedures will complete additional quality-of-life assessments and have telephone follow-ups at 3 and 6 months to track changes. Researchers will measure work status, return to work rates, and quality of life using the EQ-5D-5L tool, aiming to understand the impact of treatment over time. This information will help guide patient support after urological treatments.
