Age: 18Years - 85Years

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 18 and 85 years
  • Tumor located in the colon or high rectum (above the peritoneal reflection)
  • Pathological or highly suspected colorectal carcinoma
  • Clinical diagnosis of cT1-4aN0-2 M0 lesions based on AJCC 8th Edition
  • Tumor size of 5 cm or less
  • ECOG performance status score of 0 to 1
  • ASA physical status score of I to III
  • Provided informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Body mass index (BMI) greater than 35 kg/m2
  • Tumor located below the peritoneal reflection
  • Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP)
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Multiple malignant colorectal tumors
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Severe mental illness
  • Previous gastrointestinal surgery except appendectomy
  • Emergency surgery due to bleeding, perforation, or obstruction from colorectal cancer
  • Need for simultaneous surgery for other diseases
  • Simultaneous or metachronous multiple cancers with disease-free survival less than or equal to 5 years
