Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Veteran of the United States Armed Forces aged 18 years or older
- Chronic pain lasting more than 6 months related to at least one musculoskeletal diagnosis as indicated by ICD-9 or ICD-10 code
- Minimum pain intensity of 4 or higher on the Defense and Veterans Pain Rating Scale at screening
- No new pain treatments or medications started in the past month
- Stable medication regimen for at least 4 weeks before joining the study
- Able to read and understand English
- Access to internet connection at home
You will not qualify if you...
- Currently participating in another clinical trial without prior approval from both study teams
- Back surgery within the last 12 months
- Back pain caused by a specific known condition
- Baseline pain less than 4 or 9 or higher on a 0-10 Numeric Rating Scale
- Having unstable, serious medical or psychiatric illnesses
- Practiced yoga one or more times in the past 12 months
- Current suicidal intent or plan
- Previous receipt of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
