Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male and female patients between the ages of 50 and 80
- Planned for elective Carotid Endarterectomy under general anesthesia
- Must be breathing spontaneously, conscious, and cooperative
You will not qualify if you...
- Under 50 years of age
- Over 80 years of age
- Have neurological symptoms caused by reasons other than carotid artery disease
- Are intubated
