Organ-preservative Therapy of Bladder Cancer With Radiotherapy or Radiochemotherapy Combined With Hyperthermia
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Histologically confirmed bladder cancer
- No distant metastases (M0)
- ECOG performance status of 2 or less
- Provided informed consent to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- Uncontrolled cardiac disease, signs of heart failure, or rhythm problems needing treatment
- Presence of a cardiac pacemaker
- Heart attack within the past 12 months
- Congestive heart failure
- Complete bundle branch block
- Severe heart disease classified as NYHA class III or IV
- Conditions preventing TUR, chemoradiation, or deep regional hyperthermia
- Metal implants longer than 2 cm or dense marker clips in the pelvic area
- Active or treatment-resistant bladder infections
- Existing or concurrent immunodeficiency syndrome
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Not willing to use effective contraception during and up to 6 months after therapy
