What this Trial Is About

Researchers are conducting a prospective cohort study focused on pancreatic diseases excluding cancer. The study aims to develop better diagnostic tools to differentiate between benign, potentially malignant, or malignant pancreatic conditions. It addresses pancreatic pathologies such as solid or cystic tumors, acute and chronic pancreatitis, and the risks of malignancy during their progression. The goal is to improve patient management by enhancing diagnosis and monitoring methods. Participants with inflammatory or cystic exocrine pancreatic diseases will be observed, with investigators collecting clinical data and biological samples over time. This observational study does not involve treatments but focuses on gathering information to support research projects. The study is led by the University Hospital in Toulouse and began in November 2023. During the study, participants will undergo specific investigations or management procedures as part of their diagnosis or treatment. Researchers will analyze diagnostic tools, new targets for disease understanding, management improvements, microbiota, and clinical data access three years after the first inclusion. Participants' data and samples will be monitored and collected throughout the study period ending in December 2027.
