Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Meet criteria for a primary DSM-5 anxiety disorder including separation anxiety, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, specific phobia, panic disorder, or agoraphobia (determined by ADIS-C/P)
  • Stop all other psychosocial treatments upon consultation with study staff
  • Not currently use any psychotropic medication except a stable dose of stimulant or SSRI medication for at least 6 months with no changes during the study
  • Have an eligible and willing participating parent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Have any DSM-5 disorder more impairing than the most impairing anxiety disorder (determined by ADIS-C/P)
  • Have autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, neurocognitive disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders, or alcohol and substance use disorders
  • Report a suicide attempt in the last 3 months or current suicide intent and plans
  • Be a victim of undisclosed abuse requiring investigation or supervision by social services
  • Lack sufficient English proficiency to complete assessments
  • Parent has intellectual disability, neurocognitive disorders, untreated bipolar disorder, untreated schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders, or untreated alcohol and substance use disorders
  • Parent does not live with the adolescent at least 50% of the time for at least one year prior to enrollment
  • Parent lacks sufficient English proficiency to complete assessments and treatment
