Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- At least 18 years old and able to sign informed consent
- Have two or more adjacent teeth with RT1 and/or RT2 gingival recessions, with at least one recession >2 mm deep
- Indicated for root coverage treatment
- RT2 recessions with interproximal CEJ exposure are not eligible
- For multiple RT1/RT2 recessions involving 2 or 3 teeth, must have additional adjacent teeth to total at least 4 teeth in the treatment area for digital scanning
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to attend study procedures or follow-up visits
- Compromised general health contraindicating procedures (ASA IV-VI)
- Systemic diseases or medications affecting therapy outcome (e.g., uncontrolled diabetes)
- Current smokers, tobacco users, or drug/alcohol abusers
- Pregnant or nursing women
- Previous periodontal surgery on teeth to be treated
- Soft tissue augmentation in treatment area within 12 months
- Furcation involvement on treated teeth
- Severe tooth malposition, rotation, or significant super-eruption in treated teeth
- Fixed or removable prosthesis in treated area
- Presence of RT3 gingival recessions in the treatment area
- Inability to maintain good oral hygiene or control gingivitis (FMPS < 20% and FMBS < 20%)
- Persistent gingival trauma from toothbrushing
