What this Trial Is About
Researchers are exploring the perspectives and preferences of patients and healthcare professionals, including medical oncologists, pneumologists, and thoracic surgeons, regarding treatment options for resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study focuses on patients diagnosed with resectable phase II to IIIB non-small cell lung cancer and aims to understand views related to approved NSCLC therapies. Participants will receive treatments prescribed by their treating physicians, which consist of approved NSCLC therapies. The study does not specify experimental interventions but instead investigates preferences concerning existing treatment options. This approach includes patients from the US, Germany, and Japan, as well as lung cancer specialists who have treated at least three new patients with resectable NSCLC in the past year. During the study, participants will respond to qualitative interview questions on the first day to share their experiences and preferences. Researchers will collect sociodemographic and clinical information from patients and physicians. The study includes audio-recorded interviews to capture detailed insights, with careful monitoring to ensure participants can provide consent and complete the activities. This process helps understand treatment choices for non-metastatic, resectable NSCLC.
