Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Liver cirrhosis
- Older than 18 years
- Indicated for TIPS implantation
- Able to provide informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Contraindications to TIPS implantation
- Hepatocellular carcinoma stage BCLC D
- Ongoing bleeding
- Current anticoagulant therapy at time of inclusion
- Blood transfusions within 1 week before enrollment
- Other cancers affecting survival within 90 days
- Inherited blood clotting disorders
- Hepatic encephalopathy grade 3 or 4
- Any other condition that may affect ability to participate, as judged by the investigator
