Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adult patients 18 years or older receiving emergency care from Mecklenburg EMS (MEDIC) who wish to refuse hospital transport
- Patients for whom EMS has engaged online medical control EMS Physicians for guidance during transport refusal
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients younger than 18 years old
- Patients who refuse to speak with online medical control EMS Physicians or request their primary care physician
- Patients lacking clinical capacity
- Incarcerated individuals
