Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Adult patients 18 years or older receiving emergency care from Mecklenburg EMS (MEDIC) who wish to refuse hospital transport
  • Patients for whom EMS has engaged online medical control EMS Physicians for guidance during transport refusal
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients younger than 18 years old
  • Patients who refuse to speak with online medical control EMS Physicians or request their primary care physician
  • Patients lacking clinical capacity
  • Incarcerated individuals
