Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Adult patients with ARDS receiving mechanical ventilation for no more than 72 hours
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Age under 18 years old
  • Patient undergoing legal protection
  • Contraindications to electrical impedance tomography (EIT), such as severe chest trauma or wounds
  • Pneumothorax
  • Patient undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
  • Pregnancy
