Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Intubated patients
- Undergoing mechanical ventilation
- Moderate to severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
- Undergoing prone positioning
- Age 18 years or older
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant
- Presence of cardiac structural shunt
- Receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
- Undergoing extracorporeal CO2 removal
- Diagnosed with pulmonary embolism
- Conditions affecting accuracy of PetCO2 monitoring
- Prone positioning session lasting less than 10 hours
