Age: 18Years - 85Years
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age 18 to 85 years
  • Community dwelling
  • Plans to reside in the local area for the study duration
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Hearing loss type that could benefit from OID hearing intervention
  • Mini-Mental State Exam score >23 for those with high school education or less
  • Mini-Mental State Exam score >25 for those with some college or more
  • Willing and able to consent and adhere to the 3-year study protocol
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Self-reported disability in more than two Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
  • Medical contraindication to use of an osseointegrated device (OID)
