Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 to 85 years
- Community dwelling
- Plans to reside in the local area for the study duration
- Fluent English speaker
- Hearing loss type that could benefit from OID hearing intervention
- Mini-Mental State Exam score >23 for those with high school education or less
- Mini-Mental State Exam score >25 for those with some college or more
- Willing and able to consent and adhere to the 3-year study protocol
You will not qualify if you...
- Self-reported disability in more than two Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Medical contraindication to use of an osseointegrated device (OID)
