Comparing Vedolizumab, Ustekinumab, and JAK Inhibitors for Ulcerative Colitis After Anti-TNF Alpha Therapy

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the real-life effectiveness and safety of three different treatmentsvedolizumab, ustekinumab, and JAK inhibitorsin patients with ulcerative colitis UC who have previously been treated with at least one anti-TNF-alpha therapy. This observational study aims to compare these therapies over a period of 12 months to better understand how they perform in routine clinical settings. The study includes patients who are starting one of the three treatments as a second-line target therapy after anti-TNF-alpha failure or intolerance. The treatments being observed are vedolizumab, ustekinumab at standard dosage, and JAK inhibitors such as tofacitinib, upadacitinib, or filgotinib. Participants receive their prescribed treatments as part of their usual medical care the study monitors their progress and outcomes without altering treatment. Participants will be followed for at least one visit after starting the treatment to assess clinical and endoscopic effectiveness over 12 months. Researchers will collect data on how well each treatment controls disease activity and safety profiles. The study involves regular clinical assessments according to routine practice to evaluate participants health status and treatment responses during this period.
