Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients over 18 years of age.
- Confirmed diagnosis of epiretinal membrane grade III or IV by optical coherence tomography.
- Visual disturbances such as metamorphopsia or visual impairment measured on the ETDRS scale.
- Suitable candidates for vitreoretinal surgery without uncontrolled medical comorbidities.
- Ability to understand the study and provide informed consent.
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with grade III or IV epiretinal membrane who are not expected to improve visual acuity.
- Presence of ocular diseases significantly affecting vision, including moderate or advanced glaucoma, non-glaucomatous optic neuropathies.
- Significant opacities in the eye's optical media such as leukomas or severe corneal edema.
- Other macular diseases such as macular atrophy or macular ischemia.
