Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Children aged 5 to 7 years
- Classified as ASA Class I or II (generally healthy)
- Rated as 3 or 4 on the Frankel behavior rating scale
- Presence of at least one primary molar with a deep cavity
- Asymptomatic necrotic molars confirmed by no bleeding when the pulp chamber is opened
- Radiographic evidence of extensive decay approaching the pulp
- At least two-thirds of the root length present
You will not qualify if you...
- History of spontaneous unprovoked toothache
- Extensive crown damage preventing restoration
- Presence of adjacent or opposing teeth with deep cavities on the same side
- Use of painkillers within 12 hours before tooth filling
- Radiographic signs of large furcation or periapical radiolucency near the permanent successor tooth
- Signs of pathological internal or external root resorption
- Absence of underlying permanent successor tooth
