What this Trial Is About
The purpose of this study is to investigate brain activity during current visual and auditory tasks for balance control. The participants will perform cognitive, gait, and balance measures before the data collection to exclude people with neurological disorders. The participants will wear VR headset which provides visual tasks. The participants will need to maintain balance while performing concurrent visual and auditory tasks. The brain activities, reaction time, and eye-tracking data will be collected during doing our experimental tasks.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Must not have vestibular, orthopedic, or neurological disorders
- Must not have knee or hip replacements
- Must not have reports of dizziness
- Must not have low visual acuity (corrective vision less than 20/40)
- Must not require the use of an assistive device for walking
- Must be right-handed
You will not qualify if you...
- Healthy group participants must have a low fall risk based on clinical balance and gait tools such as MiniBEST and STEADI
- Healthy group participants must have normal cognitive status with a Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score greater than 26/30
- Fall risk group participants must not have medical issues other than balance problems
