What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the use of a Practical Geriatric Assessment (PGA) in older adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are undergoing stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). This study aims to see if the PGA, a shorter and easier assessment than the traditional Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA), can help identify patients needing extra support and increase referrals to recommended supportive care services. The study also explores how patients feel about completing the PGA and whether it can be implemented on a larger scale. Additionally, the study will develop and test artificial intelligence algorithms using facial photos and audiovisual data to identify vulnerable patients who may benefit from additional care.
