This is a prospective, non-interventional (observational) cohort study conducted within the medical network of the participating investigators and institutions. Patients meeting the eligibility criteria (see below) will be eligible for participation and the investigators will obtain written informed consent. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Histologically confirmed ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in a single breast (presence of lobular carcinoma in situ or other benign breast disease allowed)
- DCISionRT test ordered during routine patient care
- Eligible for or recently completed breast conserving surgery
- Eligible to receive radiation and/or systemic treatment
- Between 30 and 85 years old
- Tumor size less than 6 cm
- Diagnosed with DCIS within 120 days of consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Insufficient tissue to generate DCISionRT test results or missing required inputs (age, tumor size, margin status, palpability)
- Evidence of invasive breast cancer, including microinvasion, lymph node involvement, Paget's disease of the nipple, or suspicious lymph node or contralateral breast mammogram findings
- Surgically treated with ipsilateral mastectomy for primary DCIS
- Prior ipsilateral or contralateral breast DCIS or invasive breast cancer
- Prior in-field radiation in the ipsilateral breast
- Prior systemic endocrine or chemotherapy before testing
- Pregnant
