Predicting Toxicity in Elderly Patients With Head and Neck Cancer
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged 70 years or older
- Histological diagnosis of squamous cell or undifferentiated head and neck cancer in stage III-IV AJCC edition VIII (including sinonasal, nasopharynx, oral cavity, oropharynx, unknown primary with HPV positive, larynx, and hypopharynx)
- Planned for curative non-surgical treatment (radiotherapy alone, chemoradiation with platinum salts, or radiation plus cetuximab)
- Disease evaluable according to RECIST criteria 1.1
- Willing to sign written informed consent
- Adequate organ function
You will not qualify if you...
- Cancer in other sites than head and neck within the past 2 years, except for prostate cancer cT1-2 Gleason 3+3, non-invasive melanoma, initial non-melanoma skin cancer, or in situ cervical cancer
- ECOG performance status 3 or 4
- Previous systemic treatments for other primary tumors
