Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Children aged between 6 months and 5 years
  • Showing symptoms of malnutrition such as growth retardation, failure to thrive, lethargy, generalized weakness, xerophthalmia
  • Recruited from pediatric outpatient clinics at Faculty of Medicine, Sohag University
  • A total of 100 children will be randomly selected
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Children who have taken anthelmintic, antiprotozoal, purgative, or anti-diarrheal drugs within three weeks prior to stool sampling
