Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with Stage I-IV nasopharyngeal carcinoma according to AJCC/UICC TNM classification
- Aged between 18 and 75 years
- Karnofsky Performance Status score of 80 or higher before treatment
- No existing oral diseases such as oral mucositis or salivary gland damage before radiotherapy
- Planned to receive radical radiotherapy
- Able and willing to provide informed consent and comply with study procedures
You will not qualify if you...
- Tumor recurrence, distant metastasis, or prior anti-tumor treatments
- Previous head and neck radiotherapy
- Known allergy to Houyanqing Oral Liquid or conventional treatment drugs
- Use of Houyanqing Oral Liquid, rhEGF topical solution, Vitamin B12 solution, or GM-CSF mouthwash in the mouth within one month before joining
- Use of immunosuppressive drugs or corticosteroids at immunosuppressive doses before enrollment
- HIV-positive status
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Severe mental illness
- Severe cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, endocrine disorders, infectious diseases, or other tumors
