Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Written informed consent provided
- Planned minimally invasive VATS upper or lower lobectomy for NSCLC
- Middle lobectomy cases are excluded
- Use of a minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgical approach
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous induction radiochemotherapy or chemo-immunotherapy
- Severe COPD classified as GOLD 3 or higher
- Sleeve resection or extended surgery involving other lobes, chest wall, or pericardium
- Allergy or intolerance to albumin
- Renal insufficiency
- Previous lung surgery (redo surgery)
- Use of sealants or adhesives other than those in the study
- Expected extensive pleural adhesions
