Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Adults over 20 years old who visited participating medical centers between 2006 and 2021
  • Diagnosed with AKI according to KDIGO criteria (increase in serum creatinine of 60.3 mg/dL or 1.5 times baseline) for AKI group
  • Control group members who do not meet AKI criteria but are matched 1:1 by age, sex, year of visit, and baseline kidney function
  • At least two serum creatinine blood tests within 7 days or less
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Individuals under 20 years old
  • Individuals without serum creatinine tests meeting the criteria
  • Individuals with pre-existing end-stage kidney disease who have had dialysis or kidney transplantation
