Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Participants with MRI appearance of high-grade glioma (WHO Grade 3 or 4) or history of confirmed high-grade glioma undergoing tumor resection
  • Age 18 years or older
  • Volumetric MRI within 1 month prior to surgery
  • Karnofsky performance status of 60 or higher
  • Written informed consent provided by participant or legal representative
  • Appropriate neurosurgical candidate with lab values within 1 month prior to surgery:
    • Absolute neutrophil count ≥ 1500/µL
    • Platelets ≥ 100,000/µL
    • INR or PT and aPTT ≤ 1.5 times upper limit of normal unless on therapeutic anticoagulants
    • Negative urine or serum pregnancy test (if applicable)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Severe co-morbidities increasing surgical risk as determined by physician
  • Major medical illnesses or psychiatric impairments preventing protocol therapy
  • Pregnancy
  • Coagulopathy or platelet dysfunction increasing bleeding risk
  • Tumor location requiring electrode placement or biopsy in critical brain regions (motor, sensory, speech, vision centers, thalamus, basal ganglia, cerebellum, brain stem) as determined by neurosurgeon
