Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with metastatic (stage IV) breast, thoracic, gastrointestinal, gynecological, or genitourinary cancer
- No disease progression for at least 3 months based on surveillance CT imaging
- ECOG performance status of 42
- Have a family caregiver willing to participate
- Both patient and caregiver are 18 years or older
- Both patient and caregiver can read and speak English or Spanish
- Both patient and caregiver able to provide informed consent
- Either patient or caregiver has a NCCN Distress Thermometer score of 4 or higher
You will not qualify if you...
- Cognitive deficits that prevent completion of self-report instruments as judged by the attending oncologist
- Pregnant patients are excluded from participation
- Children under 18 years old are not included in the study
