Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients 18 years or older with intermediate or high echocardiographic probability of pulmonary hypertension and/or unexplained dyspnea and/or conditions associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension as clinical indication for right heart catheterization at rest and exercise
- Written informed consent from participants after full briefing for prospective analysis
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with incomplete hemodynamic data at rest or during exercise
- Patients without sufficient follow-up data on survival or lung transplantation
- Advanced tumor disease or other diseases with short life expectancy except pulmonary vascular diseases
- Advanced heart failure with pulmonary arterial wedge pressure greater than 18 mmHg at rest
- Uncontrolled systemic arterial hypertension with blood pressure readings above 160/100 mmHg at rest
- Forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) less than 50% predicted
- Total lung capacity (TLC) less than 60% predicted
