Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age 18-30 years
  • Physically active with Tegner activity level 5 or higher
  • No prior lower-limb surgery or major injury
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Lower limb surgery or significant injury in past 2 years
  • Cardiopulmonary, neurological, or psychiatric disorders
  • Anxiety about needles or electrical stimulation
  • Taking medications affecting neuromuscular or psychological function
  • Pregnancy
  • Allergy to lidocaine
  • Unable to elicit Hoffmann reflex
