Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged 18-70 years
- Classified as ASA physical status I-III
- Scheduled for single-level lumbar spinal surgery under general anesthesia
- Willing to provide written informed consent to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- History of bleeding disorders or currently on anticoagulant therapy
- Allergy or sensitivity to local anesthetics or opioids
- Infection at the injection site for the block
- Previous lumbar spine surgery
- Use of gabapentinoids or corticosteroids within the last 3 weeks
- Unable to use a patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) device
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or suspect pregnancy
- Refusal to undergo the block procedure or participate in the study
