What this Trial Is About
Researchers are conducting a single-center, observational, cross-sectional study to analyze skin properties in 100 Chinese women aged 20 to 70 years. This study aims to create a detailed skin aging profile database by examining skin color, signs of aging, and biomechanical features. It will also develop and validate photographic scales for aging research using advanced imaging techniques. The study poses minimal risk and does not involve any product application. Participants will undergo clinical assessments including Line-Field Confocal Optical Coherence Tomography (LC-OCT) imaging, standardized photography, and non-invasive skin measurements. Data collection involves questionnaires and clinical evaluations without any treatments or interventions. The study includes groups divided by age ranges from 20 to 69 years to characterize age-related skin changes. During the single visit, participants will have their skin assessed for parameters such as epidermal thickness, dermal-epidermal junction undulation, dermal reflectivity, and stratum corneum thickness. Researchers will also analyze skin color, clinician-graded scores of texture, pigmentation, and wrinkles, and correlate these with questionnaire data. All data will be anonymized and stored securely following ethical guidelines. Participation is expected to be a one-time visit with no follow-up treatments required.
