The purpose of this study is to test a novel, cognitive behavioral treatment strategy to improve social functioning in adults with autism spectrum disorder. Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Meet autism spectrum disorder diagnostic criteria confirmed by outside evaluation or phone screen information
  • Willing to complete screening surveys and outcome measures
  • Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS) self-report score of 60 or higher
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Severe self-injurious or aggressive behaviors, or suicidal or homicidal thoughts or actions within the last 6 months
  • Major mood episode, psychotic symptoms, or psychiatric hospitalization within the last 6 months
  • History of intellectual disability or low Shipley-2 score
