Age: 18Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age 18 years or older at the start of the study
  • Diagnosis of either de novo, refractory, or relapsed acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome receiving intensive chemotherapy
  • Diagnosis of either de novo, refractory, or relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia or T-lymphoblastic lymphoma receiving intensive chemotherapy
  • Diagnosis of aplastic anemia requiring antithymocyte globulin therapy
  • Admission for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, regardless of whether transplantation has occurred
  • Admission with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation within the past year or planned during this admission
  • Written informed consent obtained from the patient
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Hematological diseases other than those specified in the inclusion criteria
  • Signs of active respiratory infection
  • If previously enrolled, incomplete clearance of all signs of respiratory infection clinically, microbiologically, and radiologically
