Observational Study on Adherence to Eye Drop Therapy in Adults with Glaucoma Using the CONNECTDROP Device

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to understand how well patients with bilateral open angle glaucoma stick to their prescribed eye drop treatments over time. It focuses on patients already using eye drops that lower intraocular pressure and evaluates their adherence using a connected device called CONNECTDROP4. The study is conducted at multiple centers across the nation and involves collecting detailed data on adherence and clinical outcomes. Participants will use the CONNECTDROP4 device clipped to the EASYGRIP4 bottle of their prescribed glaucoma eye drops. They will also use a smartphone application linked to the device daily to monitor their medication use. The study follows patients for 12 months to observe the rate and pattern of adherence during this period. During the study, researchers will monitor how consistently participants use their eye drops and compare this with clinical data to explore any relationships. The main outcome is the adherence rate from enrollment through the 12-month follow-up. Participants will be tracked continuously to gather objective data on medication use, helping to better understand treatment adherence in real-life conditions.
